AFFILIATIONS

Los Angeles County, one of California's original 27 counties, was established on Feb. 18, 1850. It is one of the nation's largest counties with 4,084 square miles and has the largest population of any county in the nation - nearly 10 million residents who account for approximately 27 percent of California's population. As a subdivision of the state, the County is charged with providing numerous services that affect the lives of all residents, including law enforcement, tax collection, public health protection, public social services, elections, and flood control.

The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) originally began as Women in Construction of Fort Worth, Texas. Sixteen women working in the construction industry founded in 1953. Knowing that women represented only a small fraction of the construction industry, the founders organized NAWIC to create a support network.

The Women’s Chamber helps women start and build successful businesses, gain access to government contracts, grow as leaders and prepare for a secure retirement.  We work to advance government policies that underpin Women’s Economic Priorities — a positive economic environment with policies, budgets and leadership that support women as students, workers, mothers, breadwinners, caregivers, business owners, retirees and policy leaders.

The Architectural Woodwork Institute, founded in 1953, is a professional trade association. Member companies are the fabricators of fine finished woodwork, millwork, and furniture. AWI has published a Standard of Care for woodworking since 1961, called the Quality Standards Illustrated.

DHI is an association proudly serving door security and safety professionals, and the dynamic companies they represent, in the non-residential construction industry. Through education, advocacy, accreditation, and facilitated networking, we provide members with the collective intelligence to meet the security and safety needs of their customers.

The Forest Stewardship Council is an international non-profit, multi-stakeholder organization established in 1993 to promote responsible management of the world's forests. The FSC does this by setting standards on forest products, along with certifying and labeling them as eco-friendly.

AIAU features rigorously-curated content for architects, designers, builders, and others working in our diverse and evolving field. These online courses supplement events in your community, giving you learning you can access any time of day, from any place in the world with an Internet connection

They are locksmiths, carpenters, and building engineers employed by and/or working for colleges, universities, hospitals, companies, institutions and government facilities involved in the installation, servicing, maintenance, specifying and/or recommending of mechanical, electromechanical or electronic security and life safety hardware.
